Coops and Places to buy Whole Grains in or near Portland Oregon
Hi all, I did a search for coops in the Portland area through the TFL search engine, but could not find any threads.
I live in Newberg Oregon about 19 miles from Portland and close to Salem. I am looking for good places to buy Whole Grains in bulk.
Does anyone who lives in or near Portland know of a coop or grain supplier with clean, high quality grains that is reasonable in price?
Thank you,
Dennis
Bob's Red Mill in Milwaukie probably has a better grain selection than anywhere on the West Coast.
People's Co-op in Portland is a nice general-purpose co-op. I'm not sure what their grain selection is like.
I didn't realize the Bob's Red Mill was here in Oregon... I guess I need to look more closely at my flour packages. :)
Thanks,
Dennis
It is always funny to me that Milwaukie is in Oregon and not in Wisconsin! I have a daughter in Portland. She buys flour directly from them, while I, in Santa Rosa, CA, have to have it shipped. Anyway, I'm very happy with the quality and speed (and price) of having it shipped.

is in Wisconsin. Milwaukie is in Oregon. I'm from Connecticut and it took me a couple of years to get those tribes right. At least I think I did.

I forgot to say that my daughter was able to buy a really nice bucket in which to store her flour at Bob's. She said it was exactly the same bin as her diaper pail only it cost $18 at Bob's whereas her diaper pail cost $36. I told her it would make a nice baby gift!

Dennis, I know this thread is very old, but, I just found Azure online and just bought grain through them. They have tons of different items and they deliver free to locations all over. I'm sure there is one close to you. I have mine delivered to the Hillsboro Coop location.
