Cinnamon Raisin Walnut Swirl Bread - BBA
Yesterday I made the Cinnamon Raisin Walnut Swirl Bread from Peter Reinharts The Bread Baker's Apprentice. I have to say, that was the best bread I have ever tasted. It was so packed with raisins and nuts! I'm definitily going to make this again. Both loaves were gone before the end of the night and my family still wanted more. I feel bad for my sister who only got 2 slices....I think I had 5!
Me, dividing the dough:
Dough, divided. Look how packed it is!
Out of the oven:
Yumm....
It was made with the optional cinnamon sugar swirl and the sugar crunch topping. My sister thought it needed a glaze, so out came the powdered sugar and milk!

Wow that looks amazing! Great job!
Hi, Brigid, tasty-looking loaf. I think your sister had the right advice, too, a little bit of a glaze to gild the lily. Welcome to the site, the youngsters are always showing up the oldsters around here.
Thanks, guys!
Brigid,
Great photos and obviously it must be delicious bread. I love PR's focaccia with raisins, but I haven't tried this one. You know what you're doing - nice job. Thanks for posting the results. It's always great to see what a recipe is supposed to look like. It's one of the things I like about this site, being able to see the results. Too bad we can't smell and taste over the internet. Maybe it's best, or you'd have to make 1000s of loaves for everyone in this case.
