Couronne

Decided to spend the day making some bread and tried my hand at a Couronne with pearls.  Turned out really well and thought I'd share a photo of it with the groupCouronne: Decided to spend the day making some bread and tried my hand at a Couronne with pearls.  Turned out really well and thought I'd share a photo of it with the group

Let's see - a couple of coats of shellack, some nice red ribbon and bows and that loaf would be worthy of display on a front door for Christmas.

That is absolutely a beautiful piece of work!

was inspired by your suggestion and fashion one out of a larger wooden salad bowl and a smaller bowl covered with baking cloth.  I used a variation of the Vermount sourdough ( I miss read the recipe and added 740 gm of water rather than flour, so had to improvise the rest).  Anyway it turned out well and plan on having it tomorrow with friends to celebrate the motorcycles leaving......(its sturgis biker week here in the black hills of dakota and we have somewhere between 250,000 and 300,000 harleys in the area).  Thanks for the kind words
