here is my first attempt at a cinnamon roll cake
i want to bake a cake that says "i am a cinnamon roll" im cooking any recipe that im giveing an in the end im gona take the best of the recipes and combine them into one to hopefully bake what im looking for..
here is my first attempt from a recipe from about,com..
have many more that have been provided to me from TFL an im looking forward to makeing as many as i can...
An old fashioned monkey bread seems very close to a "cinnamon roll" cake...don't you think?
@ jane..well im trying to make a birthday cake for the love of my life and she likes cinnamon rolls..just figured id surpise her with a birthday cake that tastes like cinnamon rolls..thats the purpose..
@ fairnymph...its just a cake recipe...here ill post the recipe...
18 oz. yellow or white cake mix
4 serv size instant vanilla or french vanilla pudding
4 eggs
3/4cup vegetable oil (i used olive oil)
3/4cup of milk or water (i used milk)
1 tblesp of cinnamon

GLAZE

1/3 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
6 tblesp butter
1 tblesp cinnamon
PREPERATION
PRE HEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES F. GREASE AND FLOUR BUNDT PAN OR TUBE PAN (I ONLY GREASED THE PAN I DIDNT FLOUR IT)
COMBINE CAKE INGREDIENTS. MIX FOR 2 MINUTES. PLACE BATTER IN CAKE PAN. BAKE FOR 50MINTUES TO AN HOUR.
REMOVE FROM OVEN AN COOL CAKE IN PAN ON A WIRE RACK FOR 10 MINUTES.
COMBINE GLAZE INGREDIENTS OVER LOW TO MED HEAT, STIRRING OCCASIONALLY, UNTIL SUGAR AND BUTTER ARE MELTED.
CAREFULLY DUMP CAKE ONTO SERVING PLATTER. POKE HOLES IN TOP OF CAKE. EVENLY POUR GLAZE OVER WARM CAKE.
@ RFTSR i have no idea what a monkey bread looks like or taste like..i new at all this..tho i can follow a recipe..il have to look that up and try that too.
