Using a stand mixer to make crumpets
Hi all, I know this website is primarily about baking and bread but I've seen a few threads about crumpets. I'm making them in large batches atm and it is killing my arm. I was just wondering if anyone had ever made them using the dough hook on a stand mixer or whether this would ruin the mixture/final outcome.
Also I was wondering if anyone had had any luck doubling the mixture or whether there was a specific way to do it i.e. leaving out some ingredients/not use as much.
