$300 for a blender? Why?

this thing grinds flour so fine, it makes my Mockmill pointless. That fine flour, combined with CLAS, is how I make great whole grain bread. And it does way more than just grind flour.

I thought blenders aka choppers heated the flour too much. That's why I didn't get one of the big ones with blades. Sorry if my comment was inappropriate.

about overheating if you follow the instructions!

P.S.

What do you use to grind flour?

A Mockmill 100. My only complaint is the cheap stick-on feet don't stay put.

I have an older vitamix and it does not grind very finely. Also, i am too impatient to grind small amounts at a time. Will cold water overcome temps of overheated flour?

On Komos-they don't grind very finely either. I have to still sift and regrind the coarse particles in a spice blender.

Which vitamix model do you have?

Grind for less than a minute at a time—start with 30 seconds on speed 5, then 30 seconds on speed 10. Shake and feel the flour, and repeat if needed. It usually takes under 3 minutes for a silky grind. You can freeze the grains beforehand, though I’ve never bothered.
