USA finding whole grains

I am in North Carolina, and all the mills I checked sell already ground wheat.  Anyone have a place where they get whole red hard wheat grain, and other wheat grains as well?

Hi Tina—I’ve not found a good source around Charlotte yet, unfortunately. I plan on trying Azure Standard. The pickup date here is in three weeks, and I can report back on that experience. The prices seem good, or at least better than other online outlets.

I order all my red wheat from Azure. It is a good product,

but it does have some chaff in it . I just let it grind along with the berries.

(Azure deliveries are very convenient if there is a drop closeby.)

I used to be able to buy Giusto's in 50 lb bags locally and got a much cleaner product as well as larger plumper  grains.

In either case, I really like being able to have fresh milled grain!

If you can find a local restored water mill that still mills from time to time, they might sell you some of their grain if you talk to them in person.
