Manual or Electric Dough roller?
I saw that Brod & Taylor came out with a manual dough roller (Japanese RS201), available in 12" & 15.5" sizes:

Video:
Basic specs:
* Wide selection of 10 easy-to-change thickness adjustments from 1 mm to 17.5 mm
* Sheet approximately 250–300 g of dough at a time
I saw another manual dough roller on Amazon for $500:

I also found a 19.7" (I think? might be 15.5") electric sheeter on Etsy:

Video:
Specs:
* Adjustable gap between shafts: 0.7 mm - 20 mm
* Dough portions: no more than 0.7 kg or 1.5 lbs
* 2 speeds
Wondering if anyone had any experience with "residential" dough rollers. I have the room available & budget saved up for either unit. The electric model seems to be a good choice because I can pump out a higher volume of dough more easily (no hand-cranking), plus it can go down to 0.7mm. I'm not 100% sure if the usable shaft width is 15.5" or 19.7", but 15.5" is just fine. Purpose is for daily home use, family, extended family, friends, bake sales, etc. & also because I'm really itching for a new kitchen toy LOL.

With that budget you could probably buy a commercial unit. I waited for a sale and bought an Estelle Sheeter for $799 back in November. Price is somewhat more now but maybe they'll go on sale again. https://www.therestaurantstore.com/items/408871 Currently $100 cheaper at https://www.webstaurantstore.com/estella-eds12s-countertop-12-one-stage-dough-sheeter-250-pieces-hour/348EDS12S.html
Wow very nice, thank you for the link! How do you like it so far?
Love it. Use it for pasta too. It's thinest setting is just right for flat noodles. Only complaint I would have is that it seems fast if it's a long piece of dough as it pulls it in, but I'm getting used to it.
I have the manual roller and I like it very much. It is good quality, easy to assemble and put away, and gives a good result. I use it primarily for maintaining lievito madre, but also for croissants etc.
It came with a canvas storage bag, which is convenient.
Yeah, it looks like a really high-quality manual device! Glad to hear it's working well for you!
There's one in a scratch and dent sale for $650. https://www.webstaurantstore.com/outlet/348EDS12D/59581.html?utm_source=webstaurant&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Standard-Feb16-2023
Hello. Have you made a decision and bought one of these models? Share your experience.
I bought the new electric model BeFav , with additional trays.

It is great for croissant dough, I roll out even 1.5 kg of dough.
By the way, they also have this electric model that you indicated and other manual models.
