Gamma or Life Latch Lids?
I need some more buckets for grain storage. Have used Gamma Seal Lids in the past. Never tried Life Latch.
Looking for opinion as to which is the best for my needs.

I have both and I prefer the Gamma Seal lids. I find the Life Latch mechanism to be slower and a little harder to open and close, even though in theory it should be faster than spinning the Gamma Seal around. Both seal well. I think it’s a matter of personal preference except for one circumstance: If I’m using these in my chest freezer — for storing oat groats that haven’t been heat stabilized, or corn — the Life Latch is MUCH harder to open out of the freezer.

I’ve no idea how that happened. Floyd, please feel free to delete the duplicate.
I prefer working with Gamma Seal lids over Life Latch. I totally agree with TopBun that the Life Latch mechanism, for some reason, is much slower and create some troubles while opening and closing it - which I believe is a very important characteristic. I’ve been using the 72hours.ca Gamma Seal lids for a long time already and not looking to change for the foreseeable future. The lids are sturdy and work great for our flours, grains, and beans in the cold room. You’ll have to make sure you are ordering the right size to avoid any troubles afterward with putting them on and opening/closing later.
