Newby help please
I am fairly new to using a bread machine having bought a Lahome LA-BM8902 recently but am very please with the bread it bakes. There is however one small niggle if anyone can help :
I take the ‘paddles’ out when the bleeper tells me to but when turning the bread out there is always bread stuck to the spindles. I naturally expect there to be small holes where the spindles enter the loaf but not the larger holes cause by the ‘stuck on’ bread.
Does anyone know a way around so there are only clean holes in the base ?
I haven't used a bread machine in many years, so the following suggestion is a pure guess. After taking out the paddles, spray cooking oil (such as Pam) onto the spindles. Perhaps doing so will prevent sticking.
I usually mix dough in the machine but for the final dough, I use a loaf pan that fits in the bread machine. It sits on the metal base of the machine or on a small rack, placed at the bottom of the machine. Here are some pictures.
When you take the dough out to remove the paddles, you could try coating the spindle shafts with a little cooking oil before putting the dough back into the pan.
I find the degree of "spindle sticking" to be recipe-dependent.
