A few words about me, as an introduction

Dear TFL members,

I've followed you quietly for years without even daring to create an account here. For me, TFL was and still is a community of bread baking titans and I felt so insignificant during this time to show up here. But with every search on google about bread baking, you were there for me with great tips.

Almost 10 years ago, I made my first bread in a bread machine. What a disaster (if I comment now bout it) but back then, I was so proud of it that I even photograph it. Lately, I started a food blog, and while making different recipes, I discovered sourdough. It was almost 7 years ago when I built from scratch my own sourdough that I still feed regularly today. I've done so many experiments with sourdough and in time, I realized I couldn't eat any other type of bread than sourdough. Also, on my blog, the number of recipes for bread was clearly much higher than any other type of cooking. I discovered a big pleasure in baking sourdough bread even if I passed through difficult and busy times.

As probably many of you, I am just a homemaker, dealing with a fool time job, two small kids, and a house to keep. Before this pandemic time, baking bread was an activity for the weekend for me, but since I've been more time at home I started to go deeper into baking bread and experience much more. Before, I baked sourdough bread following a recipe from a book, a blog, a video .. whatever, but lately, I learned so much about all variables that affect bread baking and I feel like a new world opened up to me. I experienced so much through my baking journey that I wanted also to give something back. I created then a youtube bread channel giving detailed instructions about how I bake my bread.

I have now a bit more experience and courage to open an account here and give a big thank you to all of you. I pass then from the shadow admiration to a more active state. My journey will continue, as I still have so many things to learn, practice, and share back with all of you.

For info, you can find my blog on www.hungryshots.com and my dedicated bread youtube channel on Hungry Shots.

Also for info, find here my latest bread compared to the first bread I ever made.

My very first bread (from 2009):

Thank you for accepting me here, in this amazing community!

Yo, Denisa!

I'm glad you're out of the shadows! How's tricks?

Nice loaves! You will love it here. Beginners to Ninjas, we got 'em all. You'll fit right in.

For me, lurking ain't an option. I just baked the world's biggest crouton.. from a beginners recipe. And I'm so proud of myself!

I'm even going to post pictures! That's the kind of crowd you'll find here. Idiot newbies like me and Ninjas who will tolerate me and even help me!

Post away, young warrior! You have nuthin' to fear and everything to gain! Well, as far as bread goes... :)

Well you’re obviously a very accomplished baker, your videos are beautifully done and your bread is outstanding.  Hopefully you’ll stay and share some of the immense knowledge you have acquired through your many years of baking.
