freezing raw stickey buns

I am thinking of giving as christmas gifts, pans of frozen raw sticky buns that people can defrost, rise, and bak

e as they like.  These would be going to mostly non-bread bakers so I thought it would be fun for them to see the bread rise and have the smell of fresh baked bread

in their own homes.  I know there are a lot of things that could go wrong during the baking process,  but that would be their own damn fault...lol.  Any thoughts?

at the bakery where I work, for many items we make things in bulk and freeze extras for sudden occasions.  The baked sticky buns we freeze as is and when needed again, we either let them defrost or bake for a few minutes.

i don't think it would work if frozen before proofing.  I've never tried it with sticky buns, but for our croissants, sometimes we proof them and then freeze them.  Probably a different story with sticky buns I'd imagine.
