After the bread maker has finished baking it goes into continued heating mode

Hello

After my breadmaker has baked the loaf, taking approximately 3 hours 10 minutes, it goes into a heating mode for 60 minutes with the ignition light flashing until the 60 minutes is up.  Is it necessary to leave the loaf in the breadmaker for 60 minutes>

Hi Rube

Thanks for your reply.

It is a Breville - Anthony Warrell Thompson model - circa 2004.  It belonged to a relation and has not been used for years. I started breadmaking with it a couple of weeks ago and am still in the early stages.

Hi Bonsai2,

Subject to anything to the contrary in the instruction manual, this 60 minute "keep warm" cycle is intended to keep your loaf from going too soft at the end of the cooking cycle if, for any reason, you aren't able to remove the loaf from the machine once it is baked.

One the final bake has completed, the loaf should be removed from the machine and turned-out of the pan. The quality of the crust will start to deteriorate during the "keep warm" cycle.

Hope that helps.  Happy baking! Colin

Hi Colin

Many thanks for your advice.

I made one loaf and took it out of the breadmaker after only 15 minutes of the keep warm cycle.  It was OK but too soft.
