3/30/14 Bake
Here is a couple 16 hour Sourdoughs and some Scones I made for my Wife's co-workers, plus some food.
I used leftover water from after boiling some pasta the night before, the crumb was great.
Buttermilk, Currant, Toasted Almond and Lemon Zest Scones
Grilled Spring Lamb Chops with Smashed marintated Potatoes and Strawberry- Arugula Salad
Have a great week everyone.

Nothing like a great bread to accompany a great meal. I feel at home and very hungry reading this post. Wish I could afford lamb more often too......
Well done and happy baking Wing!
Thanks Dab, we have it once or twice a month. Most nights it's just chicken or pasta dishes.

Wingnut
That all looks pretty darn tasty.
Happy eating

As usual Wingnut.
I know this is a bread forum, but what's in the marinade for those potatoes?
Thanks
b
Well Bob after they are boiled and lightly smashed I tossed then in a little oilive oil, real sherry vinegar, chopped fresh Lemon Thyme and a little whole grain mustard, let them sit in that for 20 minutes then grill.
Thank for the kind words.

Great bread, scones and that dinner looks fantastic. I've had the stomach flu the last couple of days so I can't really eat much...but your food does look great.
Regards,
Ian
Get well soon Ian! The spanish flu is back with a vengeance, be safe!
Thank for the kind words.
All the best,
Wingnut
Great bread, potatoes and lamb! WOW Add in the foam hoppers and other flies... I need neighbors like you :)
Thanks for the kind words. Heading up to the High Dessert next week for a spot of fly fishing.

I am thinking about taking a week off and going to the San Juan soon.
Time spent on the water is never frought with toooo much negative hindsight. Hours in traffic jams, behind a desk, tending to useless lawns, pales to the life cleansing time spent in nature.
Don't think, just go!
