Hey mcs how is your bakery coming?
Have you gotten off the ground yet? I haven't heard from you in a while and I just wanted to see how things were going. We are all envious of you and living out your dream! I did get a little closer to some things I wanted. My husband must have overheard me complain about the kitchen tile and how every one on here was going on and on about your countertop being so nice, and I came in one day and the old tile was flying everywhere! I now have new countertops. Smooth as a baby's butt! YEA! But alas, one thing leads to another...the new counters made the cabinets look bad, so I started sanding and refinishing them, and of course the old paint looks bad....well you've been there before! Enjoy your weekend!

Hey Audra, thanks for asking.
We're still trudging through the red tape, although we are getting closer. The latest and greatest obstacle is the brand new septic system the health department is making us put in. Anyway, I'm getting the bakery ready, and have been in 'sheetrock mode' for the last week, after playing electrician and carpenter and all that jazz. Like I tell my wife, the only good thing about sheetrock is it means you're in the final stages of construction. I'll let you all know when we're open and I'll post some pix. We've got an event that we'll be vendors at towards the end of July, so that's our little carrot - that and the emails I've been getting from people saying, "We're going to be in Montana this summer for vacation; we'd like to come visit the bakery!" I'm kind of like, "Uhhhhh, not quite yet..." Those are my inspirations to keep hustling along...Take care.

By the way, congrats on your countertops. Sounds like you've got some projects opened up at your house too...

It all looks so finished when the sheetrock goes up. I am so happy for y'all! If you are finishing the sheetrock yourself-Bless You! I HATE that part. I don't mind being covered in flour, sheetrock dust is another matter! But wow! Paint, then installation of your ovens and kitchen stuff and the cases to show off your yum-yums out front and the money starts to just walk in off the street as they leave with crumbs on their lips and a smile on their face! Boy I wish we were coming to Montana! I wish you both the best! Happy Baking to y'all. I'll be checking your website and try to keep up!
