What to do with leftover croissant dough?
It's that age-old home baker's question, "Well I can't throw it away. So what do I do with the extra?" Well you make these little fruit pastries of course! They are in the style of abricotines however I didn't have any apricots so I filled them with a few flavors of jam (apricot, cherry, and blackberry). For a few of them I even made a crème d'amande with folded in sliced almonds! They turned out great. I know everyone at my office will love them!
to be called "left overs" or simply made out of left over dough. Great idea! YUM
Well, for certain, none of these will be left over...
and I was going to resist baking today. Suddenly I have a strong urge to make puff pastry. : )
The heart wants what the heart wants! And if that hearts wants puff pastry then why fight it!?
Those look really really really good. I wish I had time to whip up a batch. A little off topic, but how did you shape them?
It's pretty easy. Check out this site that gives step by step photo instructions. It's easier to see pictures of it then to try and explain it!
