Breadtopia sells two styles of bannetons that are not made in China:

The Indonesian ones are traditional rattan and the US ones are a composite. I purchased both the round and oval composite style and have been very satisfied.
I recently bought a couple Bulka bannetons off amazon. Made in Germany from wood pulp. Only used once so far but I like them. Not cheap tho.

Birnbaum makes plastic ones.
But all you really need is a bowl and a kitchen towel.
