Best of both worlds (baguette and boule)

I do like baguettes, but they are not always the most practical (limited shelf life) and I need to make sandwiches all week, so why not the best of both worlds. I've taken to lopping off a chunk of my dough and shaping one baguette while shaping the rest into a boule.  Feels like I'm getting a baguette for free.
