Looking for a Partner to open a Bakery in Miami Florida
This is the first time I have posted anything to the Forum, but my wife & I are looking for a to open up a pie & bread bakery here in the Miami / Aventura / Fort Lauderdale area. We have the capital to do this but looking for an operating partner to work with my wife.
Looking for someone that is already a baker and has had the official training, background and experience.
We have a couple of possible locations in discussions with the property owner, but we need to form the right team.
Of course this is a paid position with a salary.

I'm not experienced and not moving to Florida, but I see a gap in information that probably has significant bearing on the type of job this is: what kind of official training and experience does your wife already have, and if she's currently not strong on official qualifications, does she have the stomach for feeling as if she's being treated like "junior apprentice" while at the same time it's her own business. (Not that she would or should be treated like that at all - of course not! - but being prepared to feel that way.) It's a very tricky balancing act for some people, to be an owner and to also defer to the more experienced member of the group - even if that's exactly why the experienced person was brought in.
My wife understands that she is NOT the "experienced" one on the team, and she realizes that she would be a "junior apprentice." That is why we are looking for someone that has the experience and wants to build a business. There would be potential for equity participation as well.
I am looking at the business as diversification of income sources and have more of a finance and technology background. Location for this person is important since we live in this area, but it has some unusual economic conditions that influence the makeup of the population base.
