Yummy! Great pics and I am sure both must be very tasty too!
The pizza bread was awesome。 Actually I made two more for my friends in the dinner part last Friday. They were crazy about it! ^^
These look delicious. I really like how you rolled up your 'pizza bread'. Very nice outcome. When I have tried to roll up cheese etc I always end up with leaks somewhere. Next attempt I will give you method a try.
I love the scoring on your sandwich loaf. Very, very pretty :-)
Take Care,
Janet
Hi! Janet. My big boy helped a little bit rolling it up. I initially wanted it straight but it was over my baking tray. That was why it became a ring. I was really happy how it turned out to be.
I also often make filled breads of all kinds. This rolled-up pizza looks incredibly tempting! Curious: What did you spread on the dough before layering your ham, eggs, basil and cheese on top?
Hi! I sprinkled olive oil, sea sault and black pepper before the rest ingredients.
Nice to see you back baking some of your lovely tasty filled breads. I remember your delicious popular 'Spring Onion Rolls' back in 08 :)

Sylvia,
Thanks for your mention of her SO Rolls. I just looked them up and they look phenomenal. They have been added to my 'to bake' list even though it isn't Spring here....Might take me until then to get to them by the looks of my list....
Janet
Hi! Janet
Try it. You're gonna love it.
Hi April,
I have bumped your Spring Onion recipe up on my list and want to make it for a friend this coming weekend. Something she can pop into the oven when she gets home from work. Figure I can shape it and put it into a pan and then the refrig. so it doesn't over proof. She can let it proof on her counter.
What I want to know is what kind of cheese did you use in yours? Cheddar or Jack cheese? Also, I noticed scrambled eggs in a bowl in one of your photos. I am assuming that is for an egg wash before baking and cheese are added or do you spread it on the dough before you add all of the ingredients?
Thanks,
Janet
I would want a friend like you. Janet! :) It was cheddar cheese. But I guess any type of cheese will work to your favor. I usually egg wash the dough after final fermentation then add cheese right before baking. You don't really have to do that as the outcome will be pretty much the same.
Thanks for the information. I am all set to go :-)
Janet
Thank you! Sylvia :)
Life was quite chaotic in the last few years. We have been able to get things settled and back to normal. Spring onion rolls could be the most popular bread from my oven. Everyone loves it! Here is another batch I baked last week. ^^
I'm happy to hear things are settled back to normal...but what's normal now adays 'lol'!
The rolls look delicious : )
@ Janet .. Your welcome :)
Sylvia
love to see that Pizza Bread sliced! It has to look a little like the stuffed French pate we love around here. I've to try my apprentices paws at something like your tasty looking concoction.
Very nice baking!
I didn't even have the chance to slice it and take photo. My big boy brought it back to school and had a bread party with his roomates.
Do my eyes fail me or are those eggs?? No, they are mozzarella right? :)
Those are boiled eggs in halves. :)
It has been quite awhile, AprilSky. I have been enjoying your Spring Onion Rolls since you first posted them. I don't remember if I left a reply then, but thank you for that post. I have wondered where you had gone. Glad to hear that things may allow you time to bring your bread adventures to our notice again. I hope to hear more from you. Welcome back around!
