Fathers day
For father's day, I chose to stick around the house, play with the kids, and bake. I made Dan Lepard's Flax Seed Wheat Bread again.
Really good stuff.
The big dessert was a cheesecake (store bought) with a raspberry sauce made with fresh, local berries. The strawberries are beginning to fade, but now we move into my favorite time of the year, when fresh Oregon raspberries and peaches are abundant.

Beautiful loaf! Got to try it one day.
If only my kids would eat what their father has baked for them. They are too used to the sweetdough soft bread that most people here(Singapore) are used to.
So my father's day bake was all for my own gratification. I did give a loaf to my dad but then, only my mum would eat my bread. My dad would rather eat the Gardenia Bread that he buys from the supermarket.
Anyway, it was a good chance for me to experiment with smaller loaves. They turned out quite well and felt lighter than usual.
