I'm honored to be creating the index to Stan & Norm's book -- so I've read it very thoroughly. What a joy it was! This is a wonderful book! Now to get a good night's sleep so I can get back to indexing in the morning.
I look forward to this and will be picking up a copy!
Congratulations on all the progress by the way!
The cover looks great!
A baby every parent could love!
Is the release date still in September? I can't wait to get a copy.
It appears to be October 15th from what the website says dwcoleman.
It looks just gorgeous! Congratulations. We'll just have to be patient until mid-October. Thanks so much for creating the book, and for all the work from all who particpated, and especially to Mr. Berg!
The "official" pub date is Oct 15, but we're hoping to have books in the stores and available some time in mid to late September. Believe me, we'll keep you all posted!

I'm looking forward to having a copy.
October 15 is just after my birthday. I can make it a b'day present for myself, can't I?
Rosalie
Will also be getting the book. Can't wait!!
I can't wait to get this book!
Since I've kept and re-made several of the recipes I test-baked last summer (and they're all keepers!), I cannot wait to get my hands on the rest of them. Congratulations! Can't wait!
can't wait and then the baking begins, need my kitchen cleared and lots of tasters! I know I can count on my DH and Son in law, DD isn't a big bread fan, but will probably taste for me.
It looks wonderful so far, and will put my order into the book shop in town around the end of Sept, what is the publisher's name, and who will be distributing, so I can give it to my book shop owner so she can order it easily.
hi Eva,
The publisher is Camino Books and the ISBN number is 978-1-933822-23-5 (don't ask me what it means, b/c I have no idea!). I believe your bookseller can order directly from the publisher.
Enjoy your weekend.
Stan
As a dyed-in-the-wool librarian, gotta leap in. An ISBN is an "International Standard Book Number," a unique number assigned to a book. The numbers are administered in the US by Bowker Co., which is the designated ISBN agency for the US. Each country has its own ISBN agency. Publishers and self-publishers can apply for (purchase) ISBNs. Generally, a publisher will buy the ISBN numbers in bulk and assign them to each of the different books it publishes. The main purpose of the ISBN is to make it easier to buy and sell specific books. Each new edition of a work will have a different ISBN. Even paperbacks and hardbacks that otherwise look the same will have unique ISBNs.
No one is required to get ISBNs by law but many distributors require them or at least strongly prefer books they sell to have them. There's more info at http://www.isbn-international.org/
I called my local bookstore in hopes of pre-ordering the book. But it wouldn't come up. I don't know how pre-ordering works, but it looks like I'll have to wait a bit longer.
Rosalie
my local bookseller, and she couldn't find anything either, but that doesn't mean it can't be ordered, just not yet, she took down my info and will continue trying until she can order it for me. She is really good, and has gotten me several books on bread that I ordered, including some she ordered for the store because they looked so good.
Hi Stan,
I ordered the book on Aug. 20 and still have not receive the book yet. Can you check my order? I did send you an email about it and have not hear from you.

WoooHooooo! Can't wait.
No doubt like everyone else involved in the test baking, this book is already very special to me. And of course, we know first-hand that the recipes within are exciting. You and Norm must feel exhilarated.
All the best!
Ross
You can pre order from the NYbakers web site.
Here is the link.

Sorry, I didn't know the book pub date is Oct. 15, I thought it was already out.

I will be contacting Copperfield's Books here in Sonoma County with the publication info. How exciting to see your "baby" being born. I am looking forward to getting my flour-y hands on it.
